Found on eBay: Original Comic Art!

Wow, been a bit longer than usual since the last one of these posts, eh? Let's see what's up in the rotation...

Check it out... the cover for Haunt of Fear 21, by "Ghastly" Graham Ingels! This one is a lot moodier than typical for EC's horror books, isn't it?

I'm not sure if this page is the actual original art for Hawkman #1, page 6, by Murphy Anderson, or if it's a stat created for a reprint... the lack of shadows around the logos at the top of the page are what make me wonder, but it's possible it is, indeed, the original!

Here's an item you can super-size after clicking it... it's Ray Dirgo's cover for Charlton Comics' Hanna-Barbera Parade #7. The main reason I grabbed this image from eBay? So that you can see how off-model the characters were... which has long made me wonder if the guys doing the H-B stuff at Dell and Gold Key in the 60s or maybe just Ray Dirgo drew all the early Hanna-Barbera Give-A-Show Projector slidestrips!

OK, how's about we cleanse our artistic palates with a few covers from DC's all-too-short-lived Hercules Unbound title?

Here's the cover for issue 4, by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez...

And his cover for issue 6! You know, I really need to re-collect this title and read 'em all in one batch (or have they appeared in a Showcase Presents volume yet?).

Sweet Christmas! It's Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #2's cover, by Jazzy Johnny Romita! And I'll leave you with that for now... next time around, we'll start off with some Hulk pages and more!
