I loved your Christmas comic book countdown. I hate to say it but it was probably better then mine. THanks for all the fun. Merry CHristmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rick... I wouldn't say it was better, just different -- I'm pretty sure you had some covers in yours I didn't have in mine (a lot of Christmas Comic Countdowns had books I didn't have)... I may have to "steal" some of those for next year's festivities!
ReplyDeleteThanks again, and Merry Christmas!
yeah, Happy christmas ^_^ but i got a couple of points and questions i want to ask..
ReplyDelete) repeat Christmas in Disneyland #1 in the same post? tis tis
) Im not american so.. which one was the 6th war?
)In this times when American isn't doing well in money and it has draged the UK down with it (no offense but brown and Blair were prats and too much tried to get the UK to be America's pet which is a main reason for our problems right now) one has to give a thought to richy rich, the Poor little rich boy.. boy was that a bad tag line or what?
)Pretty intresting that in that superman with his son's cover that the kids are givien the surname 'El' (if you look on the presents) and what is probbly Lois is blacked out. maybe it's not lois? intresting they WHY they blacked her out really..
Well, maybe it was worth posting it twice...
ReplyDeleteOn the 6th war... I think you're misinterpreting that line on Batman 27... it was the 6th Loan for the War, not the Loan for the 6th War.
Richie's tag line, "The Poor Little Rich Boy" was supposed to be ironic... since Richie hasn't been published regularly in some time, I'd imagine it would be taken way to literally today.
Why wouldn't Superman's children have the surname "El"? After all, Superman is Kal-El, and his father was Jor-El... Not sure why they blacked out Lois on the cover, except that it would've added some interactive dimension as fans would argue back and forth about who the mystery wife was or could be.
^_^ it was a pretty good cover.
ReplyDeleteAh, maybe i'm miss-reading it.. again, not being american, i still don't quite get it but that's okay.
never really that into Richie Rich. Somehow a rich guy that went around moaning that he was rich and unhappy yet had more titles then the x-men and Spider-man put together didn't really appeal to me.. boy if i had only 1/4th of the money he had... hee, i would be fine with 1/20th...
As for Superman's kids, well.. i'm not too sure about how Clark Kent was dealt with in the golden age (seam to have been forgotten alot -_-) but alot of the time it just seams like he would more take the name Kent over El... but okay
