As you can see by issue 110's cover, when DC took over the title, it pretty much went wacky right away, with transformations worthy of Jimmy Olsen and more!
Here's issue 120's cover... makes me suspect DC had no idea what they were going to do with the title after they acquired it from Quality!
Issue 130... now there's a sentence you don't see spoken in comics these days, eh? Well, maybe some manga titles...
Issue 140's cover is a welcome respite from the weirdness previously... with Lady Blackhawk!
But with issue 150, we're back to the weirdness again!
Seriously, did DC have any idea what had happened in any of the Quality issues of the book? I mean, sure, the war stories may have fallen out of favor, but, come on!
Issue 170...
Issue 180... any time you wonder why DC ended up making the Blackhawks superheroes, think back to this run of issues!

Notice the MAJOR Change to Chop-Chop for the DC run? Can't say it was a bad change but it was a major change. Can't say until you get to #230... now there was a sign of much DC Understood about the comic. I'll have more comments when that comes up ^_^
