Here's one of those Quality Comics titles whose characters are usually referred to in a joking manner these days, but there's an appeal to these covers, don't you think?
Issue 10! Quality's heroes tended to either be completely covered (as in the Ray or Human Bomb) or showed a lot of skin (as in Black Condor, Doll Man, or Phantom Lady), didn't they? Sure, there are exceptions, but it does feel like they tend toward the extremes, doesn't it?
Gene Autry was arguably the most famous of the movie cowboys, with the exception of John Wayne (Roy Rogers might be another candidate for the second-place title), so it's no surprise he had his own comic book!
