Comic Book Advertisements!

We're still checking out the June, 1978 cover-dated DCs to start this installment, and here's a house ad for the All-New Collectors Edition #C-57 and #C-58, i.e. "Welcome Back Kotter" and "Superman Vs. Shazam!" I know I've featured a few pages of the latter book either here in Original Comic Art, or on the Fortress of Solitude Trophy Room! Definitely a story I'd like to read some day!

And now we go back in time, to the October, 1966 cover-dated Marvels, with this two-page spread for CBS' Saturday morning cartoon lineup, and what a lineup it was! This was probably my favorite year for cartoons, as it featured Space Ghost, Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles, The Lone Ranger, Superman, Dino Boy, as well as non-featured shows Underdog, Mighty Mouse, and others! We didn't know how good we had it, friends!

The top half of this ad from the February 1967 cover-dated DC books features kind of an oddity... "Renwal" is a model manufacturer I'd never heard of before! But apparently they were around for a while... there was even a book about them!

Also advertised, on the lower half, was Our Army At War #177, which featured reprints from a number of DC's war books!
