I just love these books! One has to remember that in those days the books and coloring books were often our main memories of the characters because the cartoons ran once...maybe twice and then you didn't see them again. Reruns weren't guaranteed or plentiful and the concept of owning copies (outside of the occasional 8MM release in some homes or the later give-a-show type projectors) was still years in the future.
