Cool Stuff: Spider-Man Stuff, Part Three!
First up this time around is this Spidey Sled! Now, I don't know about you, but when I think of a comic book character that should be put on a sled, Spider-Man doesn't exactly come to mind! Then again, I don't know that Iceman would've been a great choice from a marketing point of view, unless this had come out during the original run of "Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends"!
Next, a pair of Spidey slide puzzles... wow, the image on that first one got used a LOT, didn't it?
Maybe it's just me, but I find the idea of figural soap rather... um... creepy. Especially if it's someone like Spider-Man!
Here's one of those many carded items that, once it's taken off the card, bears no identifyng features that let you know it's a licensed toy!
I think I may have posted a photo of AHI's Spidey Space Rocket before, but here's a larger one, just in case!
This has to be the rarest of all the Spider-Cycles ever made!
Spider-Woman Identi-Flyer! I'm kind of amazed they didn't use the same art on both, you know?
Here's yet another AHI Spider-Car!
You know, this Spider-Man Stunt Flyer toy might've been fun... but "As Seen on TV"? Have any of you ever seen an ad for this toy? Me, neither!
Super Straw! Well, at least until you lose the Spidey piece, it's still a licensed toy...
I don't ever remember seeing the Spider-Man Super Streak toy by AHI (or any other Super Streak toys featuring other characters) back in the 1970s... but here it is!
Secret Wars Spider-Racer!
The back of the card shows all three vehicles in the series!
Spidey Tape Holder! Well, it kind of makes sense... sticky tape, sticky webs...
At least this Spider-Man target set uses villains as the targets!
Spidey Toastee Sox!
Spider-Man "Trans-wristor" Radio!
Vintage Spidey shirts!
Spidey Under-Roos, from the time when the manufacturer gave up on making them look like costumes!
Spider-Man Utlity Belt! But where's the web-shooters? And that doesn't look like the Spider-Signal to me...
Here's another of those "We can't just let a pen be a pen" toys!
As you can see, not only pens had to serve double-duty, so did flashlights at times!
This Spider-Man Water Gun doesn't look anything at all like something Spidey would use, does it?
Light-Up Spider-Man Whirly! What a weird idea...
Spidey Zap Sticker figure!
Spidey Zip Zap Pistol... need I say anything here?
Well, that wraps up Spidey stuff for a while... next time, we'll continue with S-named items!
