It's been a scary day, but fortunately Krypto "just" has a form of pneumonia, and with medications should be okay in a week. Special thanks to Jessi for bringing him to the vet and following through (even though its expensive), and to my brother Jeff and his wife Kristi for agreeing to take him for a few days so he can get his medications on schedule.
Krypto was throwing up during the night, and was hardly moving this morning. My wife, Jessi, took him to the vet, and either he's got an infection, or there's a mass near his stomach. If it's the latter, we will have to put him to sleep. I wish I was home right now instead of on the road in Texas. I will update when I know more.

First up this time around, we have the cover for Amazing Spider-Man #80 and the reprint in Marvel Tales 361... Looks to me like the original art was statted and very slightly reduced, with new art added on the sides (but not much, it might've actually been on the original art and seen only when reduced). The "On the Trail of... The Chameleon!" was moved int a separate box, plus a burst was added. Aside from that, I don't see any real changes!

Sometimes, I find toys at yard sales and garage sales, sometimes I find them at Toys R Us or Target, sometimes I get them at comic book shows... but this one I got at Big Lots! Manufactured by McFarlane Toys, this is a really nice set, with Jonny, Bandit, and a pterodactyl that can be put together to make the mini-diorama shown on the left. You may be surprised to see this still on the card, given that I usually don't leave my toys carded, but honestly, I just don't have a good place to display this one! I think I need a bigger office so I can have one shelf just for Hanna-Barbera items (that'll give me an excuse to find the Space Ghost and Herculoids action figures from some years ago, anyway)!

More ads from All True Crime #39... this one starts with another fireworks ad... but what really amuses me is the ad for the radio mike in the corner, which obviously (at least to me) is an example of someone not realizing which dimension was which when they bought their ad space, making it necessary to rotate their ad! This sort of thing happened a few times when I worked at the newspaper, too... although we usually contacted the designer and got them to rework the ad to the proper size.

Well, he was home Friday, and is recovering. Apparently the surgery ended up being more extensive than thought, plus they had to use staples instead of stitches to close, because he wouldn't leave the stitches alone (I told the vet that would be the case). Now he'll have more scars, making it hard to pull off the whole superdog thing! Anyway, here's some pix my wife took:
