Cool Stuff!

spirit_coloringbook
First up on this installment of "Cool Stuff" is this Spirit Coloring Book, which I recall was comprised of full-page splashes from Will Eisner's classic strip! More photos of cool items I spotted on eBay coming up after the jump!

st_activitybook
This Star Trek Color and Activity book features better likenesses of Shatner and Nimoy than I'm accustomed to seeing on these kinds of things... although that Enterprise is seriously screwed up! Look where the saucer is connected!

st_activitybook
As you can see, this Star Trek Activity Book was published to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Star Trek... those likenesses are off in a disturbing way, aren't they?

st_coloring
Here's another book from the same release period, and as you can see, the likenesses are a bit better this time around! Odd that they have Original Series Sulu, Kirk and Spock, but Movie Enterprise and Klingon War Ship, eh?

st_ahi_phaserflashlight
The AHI Phaser Ray-Gun is one of those items that I used to have when I was a kid... although I do recall feeling disappointed that they had the Gold Key Star Trek logo molded onto the side, and it was missing the "point" of the barrel.

st_ahi_spockparachutist
I don't recall ever seeing the Spock Sky Diving Parachutist in the stores when I was a kid, but even then, I would've thought, "Wow, Spock doesn't use a parachute, he just beams down or takes the transporter!"

st_ahienterprisewatergun
The AHI Enterprise Water Gun is a pretty cool concept... but obviously it squirts out of the deflector shield dish, and not from where the phaser banks should be!

st_booktocolor
This Star Trek coloring book must've been the very first one produced, and I'd love to get a copy of it one of these days (heck, I don't have any of the Trek coloring books in my collection at all).

These books were all produced around the release of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, as you can probably guess!

Here's the original artwork for a different Star Trek coloring book than any of the others I've shown you!

st_custommegocard
One enterprising (ouch!) eBay seller decided to come up with this combination of the Mego Kirk figure and the AHI Parachutists... and here's the result!
