Since I'm still working on June posts right now, there will be a few features appearing irregularly, and probably a few will disappear for that month... but by July, all the regular features will return and be on a regular schedule again.
The reason I've not been able to keep up? Well, there's been a few things:
- eBay auctions have been eating up way too much of my time when I have days off. Trying to earn the extra money I need while looking for a better job takes time, my friends!
- Most of my days off, I have a "honeydo" list that I need to take care of. For example, yesterday, when I was planning on getting a whole bunch of posts done, instead I had to clear out what used to be my office here (but has been the pets' room, where their food and water bowls are located plus the cats' litter box) and rip up the old carpet because today, new flooring is being put in that room and the family room (which has been carpet-free for some time). My current office was going to be included in this task, but there's just no way I have enough boxes around here to pack everything up in time. By the way, my old office will now be Tristan's bedroom, since his room has been crowded with the foster child we've been taking care of since late February.
- Some days, I'm just plain tired... you know I work nights, but what you don't know is that on weekdays, I'm lucky to get six to seven hours of sleep tops, because I have to get the foster child to daycare and my son and daughter off to school before I can go to bed... and then I'm up again in order to meet their school buses when they're dropped off.
There's probably other factors as well... but those are the main ones. In the meantime, I appreciate each and every one of you who read this blog daily (or even those who check in a couple of times a week and immerse yourselves in several days' posts at a sitting), and I especially appreciate each of you who click on the advertisers' links! The money from those links doesn't amount to much, but it helps out! In addition, if you'd like to show your appreciation for this blog, I'd be very appreciative of a donation, which you'll find a link for where the Friend of Krypto thing was at the top left corner of this blog. Anything helps, my friends!
Thank you again, we now return you to the Random Acts of Geekery!
