Foreign Comic Book Covers Week, Day 2!

foreigncovers
Continuing a look at the French Spidey book!

This issue's cover clearly heralds a reprint of What If? #1!

Clearly, the X-Men and Photonik were considered big draws! I am amazed that Nova appeared in the June 1983 issue, as his series had clearly been cancelled for some time prior to this!

There's no way I can possibly explain the above cover... I don't recall that Spider-Woman ever met Ghost Rider, much less either of them meeting Captain Marvel (especially in his Silver Age costume)!

Rom seems to have been the newest stories in this book!

Clearly, this issue reprinted the death of Gwen Stacy, or maybe it was the What If? issue that had Spider-Man saving her life?

Not only do the X-Men seem to be catching up with the modern day, but Crystar starts appearing in this issue, too!

Crystar even got the cover spot a few times!

Even though there was the more recent X-Men cover, it seems they were still intent on reprinting the stories with the original line-up!

I've got to say, this book had a pretty amazing line-up of titles reprinted in it! More tomorrow!

  1. Hi Jon,
I wonder if Spidey #44 included a reprint of What If (1977 series) #17 (Oct 1979)?
    Thanks!
