Sci-Fi Pulp Cover Gallery!

Let's see what I've got on tap for today!
OK, this isn't quite a pulp, although the magazine did start in that era. Still, this is a very groovy cover on the March, 1973 issue of Amazing!

Ah, now that's more like it! Here's Fantastic Adventures for July of 1948, and it's got a lot of the familiar elements... underdressed woman, space monster... What's really interesting to me about this is that the woman's a warrior who's riding a large black panther, reminding me in many ways of He-Man and Battle Cat!

The monster on the cover of Fantastic Story Magazine Spring 1952 looks a lot like Reptilicus, doesn't it?

Here's Amazing Stories July 1948... Not quite sure what's happening here... is that a crystal ball?

Another monster on the cover of Other Worlds March 1953!

It's spacemen versus spacemen  on the cover of the November, 1953 issue of Science Fiction Quarterly!

Next, we have Dynamic Science Fiction December 1952... is that a tiny woman (and man behind her) or gigantic feathers? She's definitely not as busty as we've come to expect from these covers.

It's not too often that the attractive woman on the cover of these books is the threat, but that's what's happening on the cover of Fantastic Adventures August 1940!

Lots of stuff happening on the cover of Startling Stories Fall 1955!

Finally, we have the cover of the June 1950 issue of Thrilling Wonder Stories... what's up with the headpiece on that woman? Looks like it's supposed to be vaguely like the golden age Hawkgirl's helmet, doesn't it?
