Save Chuck!

Thanks to the many-blogged Rick, of Mail It To Team-Up and other great blogs, I learned that Chuck, one of my favorite current TV shows, is in danger of being canceled, thanks to Jay Leno's move to weekdays at 10pm on NBC. Apparently, NBC's looking to cancel some shows to make room for this.

There's information on how you can help at this website. But for the most part, you can write to the following addresses:

NBC Chuck
c/o Ben Silverman
3000 W Alameda Ave
Burbank, CA 91523

Angela Bromstad
100 Universal City Plaza
Building 1320, 4th Floor
Universal City, CA 91608

Hopefully, NBC can be convinced to change their minds and renew Chuck for a third season!

Sadly, this doesn't seem to be available on DVD... but here's a Castle Films digest version of the movie!

Children's Book Theatre: Dracula's Daughter, Part 5!

Since Chapter 5 is so short, I'll present 6 as well this time!

Cool Stuff: More Bat-Stuff!

batman_babybib

Truly this 1960s baby bib was too nice to allow one's baby to spit up mashed carrots on, no?

batman_batchute

I've been told that this Batman parachuting figure was reissued when the license expired with slight modifications!

batman_batmobilecandydish.JPG

This is kind of a neat Batmobile Candy Dish, don't you think?

batman_batmobilemexican.jpg

I suspect this Mexican Batmobile toy wasn't quite licensed, you know?

batman_batmobileracingteam

For a Batmobile racing game, that car doesn't look like much of a Batmobile, does it?

batman_batmobilerecord

This Batmobile record with its die-cut sleeve is very cool! The company who made this made a bunch of other Batman records with die-cut sleeves, too, as well as an album collecting all the "singles"!

batman_batmobiletoyota.jpg

Here's another one of those Batmobiles that's obviously not a licensed item!

batman_batsignalgun

This Batsignal Gun is probably the only other rack toy this company made featuring Batman that I won't make too much fun of...

batman_bookends66

I like this bookend from 1966...

batman_bubblebath

I think this figural bubble bath bottle is fairly recent, but it looks nice, doesn't it?

More Bat-Stuff to come!

Cool Stuff: Original Comic Art!

sixmillionmag_pg11_continui.jpg

Not too many people seem to be aware of it, but Neal Adams' Continuity Studios did some work for Charlton in the 1970s, particularly on their black-and-white magazine line, such as this page from their Six Million Dollar Man magazine!

Next up, here's page 11 from Archie's Sorcery #8, art by Grey Morrow!

Next time, we'll start with a few Strange Adventures pages!

Online Movie Viewing Sources!

So, you say you want to watch some movies online for free, but want to feel like they're legally watchable?

Well... I've been watching some Godzilla movies (including Final Wars, which was AWESOME!) at www.crackle.com -- checked that out because of the AdSense link, which will hopefully appear below this, so you can click that and I can make a few cents off your click! They had ten Godzilla movies, plus Mothra... and there's also some TV stuff there, too. I'd consider embedding some of these movies here, but the movies don't stay available for as long as I'd like!

By the 10's: Battlefield Action!

Yes, I just had a By the 10's yesterday... this is Random Acts of Geekery, y'know!

battlefield010.jpg

Battlefield Action began as Johnny Dynamite! Here's issue 10 of that book! That title lasted until issue 14, when it became Foreign Intrigues, and then with 16, it became Battlefield Action!
