Yeah, I know last week ended with a "Cool Stuff" installment, but since it's my most popular feature, I figured I'd throw another installment out there this week!
Were you one of the lucky ones to receive the boxed set of Origins of Marvel Comics plus Son of Origins? If you were, you no doubt recognize the slipcover both volumes fit in!
Here's an oddball Hulk toy -- and that's saying something, if you were a regular visitor of the late Hulk Blog! This was referred to as a "Panda Car," although I have no idea why. I believe this was made in South America, and aside from the Hulk's face on the hood, tire's nothing else Hulk-like about this toy!
Comic book character patches are always cool, especially when they're done as well as the above examples. However, sometimes they fell a little short, as seen below:
Compare that to the original art that was based on, as seen in this iron-on patch that took full advantage of printing:
Here's some more Marvel patches!
Those last few definitely fell into the "so close, yet so far" category, eh?
Here's plates from the Marvel artists portfolio, spotlighting John Buscemi, Gene Colan, John Romita, Herb Trimpe, and Marie Severin!
I'm not sure when this Avengers poster was produced, but it's nice!
Here's a foreign edition Black Bolt poster!
Here's a bunch more posters, none of which I recall ever seeing before finding them listed on eBay!
Well, this Cap one I do remember, it's a classic!
This Medusa poster, obviously, is from the same country as the Black Bolt one!
Some very cool foreign painted Marvel posters!
There'll be more Marvel stuff coming your way the next time around!
