A new cover was commissioned when Sgt. Fury #32 was reprinted in issue #93!

Cover Redux Week, Day 4!

Just as an aside, today my family and I begin our vacation road trip to Reno, Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon, Utah, and spots in-between!

Our first selection today is Sgt. Fury #64 and the reprint in #161. The only change I can see is that the word "The" in the bottom blurb has been redone. I can't decide if I prefer the single-color original or the multi-colored reprint!

Cover Redux Week, Day 3!

First up today, we've got Amazing Spider-Man #83 and the reprint from Marvel Tales #64! Not only are we dealing with a slightly reduced cover, it's been shifted down and to the right, with details altered on the top. This one's always struck me as odd, as Spidey's not even looking at the Schemer in either version!

Cover Redux Week, Day 2!

Our first selection today compares the covers to X-Men #20 and #71! As you can see, this is another situation where the original cover was enlarged slightly for the reprint, with some slight shifting to the right, I believe. It's also been shifted up!

Cover Redux Week, Day 1!

Continuing with the theme weeks, although I'm not sure if I've got enough of these left in my files to last the week! We'll have to wait and see...

Our first selection today is Fantastic Four #103 compared to the reprinted version from Marvel's Greatest Comics #83. Obviously, the image has been reduced slightly and shifted down. Not only that, there's some changes in word balloon placement. The impact point for the Torch's flame blast seems to be slightly different to accommodate the UPC code, too. In addition, motion lines were added near the Thing's foot!
